Miracles do happen!!

For whatever reason I cannot get the pictures to go to the bottom of the post so read the post first and then look at the pictures.

My beautiful amazing sister!

Austin David Ray

I could make this story long because there are so many amazing things that have happened to make this possible, truly the hand of the Lord and his tender mercies. But I will try to make it as brief as I can.

This post is about my sweet sister and her very special little miracle. My sister has had some rough challenges, she has lost two babies at 14 and 20 weeks a little boy and a girl, she has suffered from a thyroid disease, had cancer and beat it, struggled getting pregnant, she has taken in two of her nephews from her husbands side of the family that needed a good home she took care of them for over a year and with her dilligent efforts was able to place them in a very loving home with my cousin who has not been able to have children of her own (she has other adopted children) Amy made it all possible, and gave those two little boys a chance all because of her dilligent effort, she has had all her babies C-section and after the last one the doctor said it would not be safe for her to have anymore children. Her heart is so huge... she amazes me at times at the love she can have for anyone... anyway she knew her family wasn't complete so she followed the spirit and submitted her papers to LDS social services. She felt very strongly that a little boy would come to her home sure enough through the aid of my cousin who adopted the nephews she was picked by a 16 year old girl that had decided to give her baby up and chose Amy and Craig for the birth parents... Ok so it seems this would be the happily ever after part oh no that is not the end, there must be oposition in all things... to make this short (I wish I could tell you evey little miracle that has happened with this story but it would take forever because there has been so many so I will try to keep it brief but I will say this experience has given me such a testimony of the Lords love for each of us he does not EVER leave us alone to fight our battles he is always there with us guiding us every step of the way and he knows us each individually what a special experience to be a part of seeing that) ok so back to the story to make this short, just a few days before the baby was born they found out the birth father was 1/8th Native American and so the baby was 1/16th Native American and there are so many laws regarding the American Indians so needless to say basically if parents of an Indian child 1/16th or more gives up their rights then the Indian counsel gets the rights to the baby and get to place the baby in a Native American home, so you can see all the issues that arose with this dilema well we did find that my family does come from Native American decent it is distant but there, this helped but there were just so many road blocks in Amy getting this baby they were told flat out told No that this would not happen, but no one took that for an answer even the birth family they were so sure that this baby needed to go to Amy and Craig so the battle continued with much fasting and prayers on thier behalf and Heavenly Father just continually dipping his had into every situation there was miracle upon miracle and they were clearly evident it was so so sweet the love that he has for that little boy and for Amy and Craig, for each of us, we are all so loved I don't know how he can give it to all of us but after this experience there is no doubt of the love he has individually for all of us, so as miracle upon miracle continued even though Man said no way, it all came together and Amy and Craig get to adopt this sweet little boy he is now just over a month old and they will go get him this week and bring him home!! We are so excited for them, truly a sweet, sweet miracle. My sister is one of the strongest people I know and is such an example to me in so many ways. Her heart is so so big. What A strength she is to me. I have been so blessed to be able to see and be a part of this experience, a real miracle, miracles never cease even in our day!! Just like the ones we read about in the scriptures of Christ Healing the lepers, the children, raising the dead, healing the blind. This to me is a miracle every bit as big as those, they did not just happen then they happen now and this is one of them.

And we are all now blessed and excited to have

Austin David Ray Phillips in our family... What a Miracle:)

Thanks for making me cry Deb and ruining my makeup! It's amazing the different trials people go through and why some have it so easy to have children and some don't. I have not experienced that trial and can't imagine. I guess you just love your kids and pray for them everyday. Your sister is AMAZING!! A rock for her children and family.
