Our Christmas Card

Not so much of a Christmas card I know but if you want to know what we are up to start reading:) If not here's a picture for you. We just wanted to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Here is a brief run down if you don't want to look through the blog, a little more detail than the e-mail I sent out, I figure if you came to the blog you wanted a little more so here you go...

Joe is still working at the same job as a commercial real-estate anaylist and is enjoying it(we are very grateful he still has a job. He is also a residential agent and this august flew to Chicago to take the final exam to get his CCIM designation (it's like a masters in real estate). He is the Young Men's president in our ward and he loves it. He is the worlds greatest Husband to Deborah and the World's greatest Daddy to Kyle, Kambree, Kayelee, Kapri, and Brittlee

Kyle is 7 almost 8 and will be baptized this year, he gets to be baptized in Wyoming in the Sweet Water River, He is looking forward to it. He is a great big brother to his 4 sisters. He is going to a classical charter school this year and is really enjoying it. He has a great teacher and has made some great friends. I am so glad He and Kam's go together each day. He played football this fall and did very well. He enjoys playing anything from games to sports to make believe and he loves being with his family. He really loves being with his family and I love it. He is a great kid and we are so glad to have him in our family.

Kambree 6 never ceases to amaze me. I say that about her every year and I think I will say if forever about her. No mountain is to tall to climb and she does it with a smile on her face. Early this year we found out she had some pretty severe hearing loss in one of her ears (probably due to the cerebral palsy), she has had tubes put in twice and also got a hearing aid, she is doing much better hearing and it is helping her a lot in school. She is going to the classical charter school as well and loving it and learning so much. She has memorized so many wonderful, songs, and poems all while she is learning, it is so fun for her, she walks around the house repeating them over and over. She has a wonderful teacher who loves her and that has been a huge blessing to her and I. She is the biggest helper with Brittlee she holds her a lot for me and she loves being the "little mother" she loves playing with her sisters and wrestling with her brother, she asks him often if he will wrestle with her, she is rough and tumble on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside.

Kayelee 5 still gets to stay home with me and I am so glad, she will start school next year and I will miss her so much. She is a sweet little helper and it is so fun to have her around. She loves princesses and is one herself. She loves all the girly things and pink is her favorite color. She thinks she is very much the boss around here and sometimes tries to run the place, she sometimes has to be reminded that she is only 5. She is so fun to have around.

Kapri 2 is very sweet. I do have to admit the 2's have hit her I guess I realized my little angel does have a strong will streak at times, it's a good thing. I love her to pieces and she makes us all smile daily. She love all her babies and her dollhouse. She is very easy going and good natured.

Lizzie Brittlee almost 8 months is a spoiled little sweetheart. I probably carry her around 90% of the day when she is not sleeping and Kambree and Kayelee carry her the rest when we don't she is screaming and she does do that sometimes too, I know we spoil her it's bad but it's ok I won't have babies forever:) I love her sweet nature. She is very happy especially if she is in her mama's arms. She has beautiful brown eyes and brown hair and looks just like her daddy. Kyle told me the other day he was so glad Brittlee had brown eyes because they were so beautiful and they fit so good with her beautiful face. I thought that was so cute. She is our brown haired brown eyed little beauty.

Me I chase five little people around daily. I serve in the primary and really enjoy that calling I love being with my kids teaching them and learning the same things they are learning. I am playing indoor soccer right now and loving it. I ran a half marathon in October and am going to run another one in the spring. Exercise is my outlet and my therapy and I love it. One of my favorite things to do is curl up in my bed with my blanket and Joe by my side and watch a good movie and eat ice cream (bad habit I know but I love it!). I love spending time with Joe and my kids, they are my favorite people. I love my extended family and friends too so much and love every chance I get to spend with them.

Life is good and we are doing great!! We hope you are all doing great as well and Wish you the very Merriest Christmas!

My Christmas Wishes

My friend sent this to me and I loved it so I thought I'd share it with you!!! This is exactly what I need for Christmas, it's a little scary how that is really exactly what I need and want:)

Dear Santa,
I've been a good mom all year. I've fed, cleaned and cuddled my children on demand, visited the doctor's office more than my doctor and sold sixty-two cases of candy bars to raise money to plant a shade tree on the school playground. I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my son's red crayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, and who knows when I'll find anymore free time in the next 18 years.
Here are my Christmas wishes:
I'd like a pair of legs that don't ache (in any color, except purple, which I already have) and arms that don't hurt or flap in the breeze, but are strong enough to pull my screaming child out of the candy aisle in the grocery store.
I'd also like a waist, since I lost mine somewhere in the seventh month of my last pregnancy.
If you're hauling big ticket items this year I'd like fingerprint resistant windows and a radio that only plays adult music, a television that doesn't broadcast any programs containing talking animals, and a refrigerator with a secret compartment behind the crisper where I can hide to talk on the phone.
On the practical side, I could use a talking doll that says, "Yes, Mommy" to boost my parental confidence, along with two kids who don't fight and three pairs of jeans that will zip all the way up without the use of power tools.
I could also use a recording of Tibetan monks chanting "Don't eat in the living room" and "Take your hands off your brother," because my voice seems to be just out of my children's hearing range and can only be heard by the dog.
If it's too late to find any of these products, I'd settle for enough time to brush my teeth and comb my hair in the same morning, or the luxury of eating food warmer than room temperature without it being served in a Styrofoam container.
If you don't mind, I could also use a few Christmas miracles to brighten the holiday season. Would it be too much trouble to declare ketchup a vegetable? It will clear my conscience immensely. It would be helpful if you could coerce my children to help around the house without demanding payment as if they were the bosses of an organized crime family.
Well, Santa, the buzzer on the dryer is calling and my son saw my feet under the laundry room door. I think he wants his crayon back. Have a safe trip and remember to leave your wet boots by the door and come in and dry off so you don't catch cold.
Help yourself to cookies on the table but don't eat too many or leave crumbs on the carpet.

Christmas Concernt

Last night Kyle and Kambree's school put on a Christmas Concert it was so good the kids did amazing and were so proud to show us what they have learned in music (not that we haven't been hearing it for months around the house, especially from Kam's she loves music) it was fun to have them share and see them shine. We loved going. Kambree sang a song about lighting your candle of peace and it was so good she sang one about slippers as well and one about being greatful for your hands, legs, lips, etc. Kyle sang one about Hanukah and Jolly old St. Nick. They both did a great job and it was fun to see what they had learned. I didn't take any pictures:( so sorry you get a pictureless post.

Sleepy Bug!!

So cute!!

And on a side note at random she will say:

Merry Christmas Martha May Whoviaaaaaa!!!!!!! (from the Grinch Stole Christmas) The first time she did it I about died, it was pretty funny.

Also last night I was rocking Kambree and the "Where are you Christmas" song from the Grinch was on and I was belting it out singing and Kyle says: "Mom you should be a singer you can sing loud and clear" It wasn't you should be a singer cause you sing pretty just that I am good at singing lound and clear. I really am a bad singer so it was nice that he came up with a compliment anyway:0 I love the funny things kids say!!!

Christmas Came Early!

My sister had our name for Christmas, she bouught us this picnic table from little tikes that seats 8 little kids! (most of them only seat 4 or 6) We were so excited it came tuesday in the mail and Joe set it up last night for us they love it it is so fun! The umbrella is on it's way in the mail. I think we will keep it in the house for a while since it is still so clean. What a fun present we will use it all the time!!! I love it!

Ok so she LOVES grapefruit not many kids love grapefruit but she does and actually all of my kids do. It's a yummy treat for all of them.

Random

This morning I was fixing Kayelee's hair and as I was fixing it (getting out all the knots) She says through the pain "I wish it was already fixed FOREVER" I thought for a second and said "Me too Kayelee" I would love a hair fairy to live at our house, aaahhh that would be nice, save me some time and endless "it's time to fix your hair". I guess for now I better just try to enjoy it. I do have to admit their hair is always so cute when it is fixed, it's the getting to that point that is so painful:)

Winter Wonderland

I got up this morning to go running and opened the door to this suprise. Bobbi and I decided to run in it anyway and it was BEAUTIFUL, one of my favorite runs in a long time, even if it was only 17 degrees:)
When I got home I woke up the kids and they were so excited I remember praying for snow when I was little I loved it! Too bad the kids couldn't just stay home from school and we could go sledding and play in the snow and drink hot chocolate:) all day.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!

Random

The other day I was coming up the stairs and I stopped before I got to the top because I heard soft sweet voices in the play room and when I listened longer Kayelee was in there looking at a princess book with Kapri and she was telling her a story, it was really cute.


Tonight Kyle said to me "Mom I really wish I had a brother, just one" It was very sweet and sincere. Don't get me wrong he loves his sisters so much but he does long for a brother. We started talking about a brother and that he would be a lot older than his brother if he got one, but he didn't seem to care, He talked about what we would name him and he talked about his boy cousins that are close to his age and how he likes playing with them so much and how he misses them when we leave. It was a sweet longing.

Someday... Maybe... if he is lucky... he'll get one:)


I did say there is a chance when we have another baby it could be a girl again and I asked him if he'd be ok with that and he said it would be... He is a sweet big brother, the girl that gets him is a lucky one, raised with 4 sisters what more of a ladies man can you get???

Sad Hugh?

7 months

She's starting to eat food and she loves it.
She just got her first tooth.
She is starting to scoot. (she'd probably be crawling except she gets held all the time)
She is a mama's girl big time more than any of my other kids.
She gets held probably80-90% of the day when she is awake. And if she is not being held she is usually crying. She is spoiled.
Kambree and Kayelee still constantly hold her (I think that is part of why she is so spoiled these girls won't let her just be on the floor) it's cute though they just love their little sister. I spoil her too I have to admit.
I just took her in for a check up and she is little under the 50th (I think 30 something for one and 40 something for the other) percentile for height and weight, so she's kind of a small little thing (unusual for my babies they are usually huge, remember Kapri's thighs?) She has some chunk for sure though.

Snowman?

We have a snowman kit and Kyle dressed up Brittlee up in some of the stuff. She looks like an Arabian Knight more than a snowman:)

Brotherly Love

The kids all sleep in Kyle's room every night, they just love being together. We have 2 twin beds in there and then 2 crib mattresses on the floor, a couple of nights ago Kapri climbed in bed with Kyle. She loves her big brother:)

Give Thanks

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent it up at my parents lake house with them (they were able to come home for a visit because it is the slow time during their mission) it was so fun to be there, My sister and 2 of my brothers were able to come, Steven and his family drove all the way from Texas to be with us. My parents just recently added a huge addition onto their lake house (see pictures) making it great for all their many grandkids. Here is a quick run down our fun.

We ate wonderful food and Thanksgiving dinner was expecially good. Stuffing with cranberries and pinenuts was my favorite this year. (Thanks Jenny for the recipe).

The kids played and played with their cousins and had so much fun.

The boys played football Thanksgiving morning.

I ran a little over 5 miles around the whole lake with Nicki (my sister-in-law), it was beautiful.

We Had a wonderful Davidson family get together Sunday before we left.

We went to church in Basin City, I love going home.

We shopped till we dropped on black friday getting up way to early and spending way too much money:)

We visited and made wonderful memories.

I have so much to be Thankful for. My family, friends and the Gospel of Jesus Christ are among my GREATEST blessings.

Kelly and Warm Fuzzies

Each night I ask my kids what their favorite thing is that they did that day and they each get a little moment to tell about their favorite thing of the day. Well during General Conference President Monson talked about the legacy a father left behind by asking his children each day at the dinner table what they had done good for someone that day. The children of this man were determined each day to do something good for someone else so they could report to their father each night, as they grew older their motivation for providing service changed to an internal desire to help and serve others. One of his children said this was the most valuable legacy his father left behind.
I decided I would add to to our nightly tradition and not only ask the kids about their favorite thing they did that day but also if they had done anything nice for someone else, and we would call it a warm fuzzie because after they do it they will feel good inside like they are warm and fuzzie (I know silly name but they love it). They agreed and so that night I just asked them if they had done any thing already that they wanted to share. Kyle said yeah I have, He told us about a girl named Kelly in his class, he told us that she was a little slower at things and that some things were hard for her to do, he said at the end of each day they put their chairs on their desks and he said it is really hard for Kelly to lift her chair up high and put it on her desk and he saw that she was trying to do it and her arms were shaking and so he went over and helped her get her chair up on her desk. I loved that he took the time to care for someone else. He's a good kid:)

So go out there and do a warm fuzzie today!!! You'll feel so good inside:)

Random

Ok so I think this is going to be the post for all the random things I want to post about but have no titles for. So often the kids say stuff that I think is so cute or funny but I forget it or it just isn't enough do a whole post about it so every time you see the word random it will just be some random thought or funny or cute thing one of the kids did or said.

So here is my random thought for the day.


The other day Joe and Kyle had gone into Boise to a gun show and Joe said he was telling Kyle about our dating story and how we met etc. He was telling Kyle about a time when He saw me walking (after we had become friends in a class) and said to himself I'm going to ask that girl out. Kyle said to Joe, Dad I'm so glad you picked her because She is the best Mommy in the whole world and I love her so much.


Honestly I really felt so blessed to have him feel that way about me. What a sweet sweet boy. I'll make sure he reads this post when he is a teenager:)

Kiwi

That's her nickname and she just turned 5 years old!!!! She had a wonderful birthday!! A coupleof days before her birthday I asked her what she wanted to do on her birthday and she said "I want to get a babysitter for the other kids and I want to go out with just you and daddy", So we went out just the 3 of us, we went to dinner at Red Robin and she got to pick whatever she wanted on the menu and they sang to her and gave her balloons, she loved it. I think she had a blast just being with her mommy and daddy and getting all the attention. She loved being princess for a day!

I really just can't believe she is 5. She is so sweet and sassy all at the same time. She (and Kyle) are kids that reminds me most of me when I was younger. Hence she must get the sassy from me, I can't blame that one on Joe:) She really is so sweet though too. The day I thought I lost my blog she made my bed, cleaned my bathroom, and organized the shoes in our front entry way. She is very thoughtful and loving and loves to help and make others happy. She is a lot of help when the kids are at school and I am going to miss her so much when she goes to school next year. The other day she said she didn't want to grow up because then she would have to move away and she would be sad to leave me and she would miss me a lot, and then she said that she would just have to move close by me so she could see me often. She thought that all up on her own it was really cute I hope she does live close when she is older. I love this sweet little girl!

To make a long story short... Modbe is going out of business and I have been a consultant for them I had a separate e-mail for my Modbe stuff and it was tied to a google ad-words account, and yesterday morning Joe closed that account and it was the same account I use to access my blog and so he canceled my blog. When I tried to get on and had no luck I was so so devastated so much time, work, efforts, my journal everything about the kids for the last 2 years gone, I was so so sad even in tears, I spend so much time recording things on this so I will be able to have them for years to come. Anyway I was so so sad. So I asked some gals who knew stuff about blogs and I called Hillary to ask her how to put my blog into a program so I could have it saved there and print it off in case we could get it back, she was so much help thank you Hillary so so much!
I prayed that some how we could get it back and I called my mom and asked her to pray too (you'd be amazed at what the Lord grants them out on that mission). Joe was calling google and trying to figure out how to save it and I got back on and wa la it was back on.
Joe is sure I prayed it back. I have to admit I think that is the reason too. He closed another accout yesterday as well and he can not get back on that one but WE GOT THE BLOG BACK. And now it is saved with Blurb and Joe backed it up on our computer as well.
So today we are just chill'n and very, very grateful!! What a sweet Tender Mercy this was for me!!!

Halloween

We had a wonderful day. We made sugar cookies and frosted them, we went to the ward trunk or treat where the girls were pioneers (I didn't take any pictures:( and then they wanted to be princesses for trick or treating, we ate our traditional dinner in a pumpkin and the kids got plenty of candy.
It was s good day!!!
