Hospital Visit

We had an un-expected visit to the ER this week. Kambree got sick and she sometimes has seizures accompanied with a sickness they don't happen very often about 2 times a year but they are horrible when they do. This time she had one and because she has had them before and she doesn't come out of them on her own we have a medicine called Diastat to give her to take her out of the seizure. It has always worked. She went into the seizure and we gave her the medicine as usual and she relaxed for just a short time and then continued to have a seizure it was so scary she has never done that before. So I called my brother who lives by us in Nampa he is a internal medicine-peadiatrics doctor (it has been so nice having him close) I called him and asked him what to do, he said if she is still seizing then we need to get her to the ER so they can stop the seizure because when you are in a seizure for that long there is limited amout of oxygen that is getting to the brain and it can cause some further damage so of course at this point I am so scared, we jumped in the car Joe drove and I held her and we said a prayer that all would be alright. We got there and she was still seizing it was very scary, they very quickly got us back and they had an IV in her in no time and gave her some medicine through the IV which made her finally come out of the Seizure. She was in it for over a half hour it was very scary. We stayed at the hospital for a couple of hours as they did some tests and then let us take her home telling us to bring her back if it happened again. She slept from that point on till about 7:45 the next morning with us giving her IB-profren Tylonel around the clock. The medicine for the seizure is a relaxant and so it makes her so sleepy along with the postdictical phase of the seizure so we always hope she will come out of everything alright. When she woke up the next day she was still sick but all her wits were about her and she was doing well. It is always such a happy day when she is ok after an ordeal like that.

Oh I just love my kids and when they go through things like that I realize I would do anything for them, I would do anything to take their pain away the difficult thing is all I can do is watch. It is amazing how you can love those little people so so much, even more than you can express. Trials with children are the hardest, I will admit though being a part of Kambree's trials has taught me so many wonderful things about life and what truly is most important.

It was so sad to see her in that state but we know all things are in the hands of the Lord and we know he is in charge. We were so glad to see her back to her normal self and she even got a brand new blanket out of it. When we got home the kids all wanted a new blanket of their own, if they only knew what price they would have to pay. I will admit that girl goes through some very hard things she is so tuff and NEVER complains, she is such a great example to me.

One of the first things Kambree asked the next day is if Daddy had given her a special blessing, she knows when she has a seizure that he usually does that but this time everything was so fast we just said a special prayer on the way to the hospital she was ok with that. But it was so neat to me that, that meant so much to her, she has such amazing faith.

I just love this girl so so much!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We went up to Washington to visit my family, we stayed for over a week and we had a wonderful time!! I will miss my parents so bad when they are gone. I am greatful every moment I get to spend with them. By the way, I don't think I ever went back and posted about what my parents calling is. They have been called to be the directors of the Mormon handcart historical sites so it is a 2 year mission they are called to and they will be the directors of the Willie and Martin Handcart sites in Wyoming, they will be over 60-70 missionary couples and see thousands of trekers through the wonderful experience of going on the trek there on those sacred lands. My parents are such amazing people they just continue to wear themselves out in the service of the Lord.

Sorry for the tanget I had just forgotten to re-post about their calling. So for Thanksgiving my sister and her family came and we had a wonderful time we have so so much to be thankful for. We also had some time with just my parents, my mom and I went to Twilight and lunch together, We celebrated Kayelee's birthday, shopped, my sister taught me how to make hairbows, we read lots of twilight, Joe and I went to the temple together, we rode 4-wheelers, rode horses, and had breakfast at by brothers house, played with all the fun stuff at Grandma's house, we just had a wonderful time!!!

I am so Thankful for my 3 almost 4 beautiful girls and my 2 amazing boys the gospel, all of our family, the gospel, our wonderful friends, and so many material things that make our life more comfortable. Wow we are so blessed!!

Happy Late Thanksgiving!

Well..... We have some news!!!

Can you guess what it is?? Those are the legs and the little bum.

So cute!!

I love this one, you have to look closely that is one little foot (the bottom of the foot like a foot print)

What do you think???????

First things first this baby is healthy and strong Oh YEAH!!! Everything looked great the heart the brain everything. We have heard of so many things that can go wrong from others and even our own experience we were just so greatful that everything from what they could tell was heathy and developing right on track.

Ok so we had the ultrasound and ...... the moment you have all been waiting for...... Well Joe and I actually decided to not tell anyone we are just going to keep it between us until she comes.... If you didn't catch that you better read it again.

It's a GIRL!!!!

Ok so if you stop reading here that is a ok with me It is long but if you will read the last little paragraph we really need some help in the name department!!

I can say it was a harder day for Kyle I took him and Kambree to the ultra sound and on our drive there we talked about how it would be ok if it was a boy or a girl and Kyle was alright with that he said he wouldn't be sad and I told him no tears and he wouldn't cry. I thought ok this will be easy he is going to be ok either way.... oh boy not so. The ultra sound Tech. wasn't sure at first she said she thought it was a girl but but her little legs were crossed so Kyle kept asking Joe if it was a boy or a girl. After she checked again she said she was 98% sure it was a girl so we left and Kyle was pretty devistated, he was so hoping so bad for a brother. I told him not to worry (atleast yet anyway) that we are going to have more kids and that he will probably get a brother he informed me that, it takes too long. He also told me later in the day that he was going to leave home and go away I asked him where he was going to go and he said Mexico to learn spanish. We weren't even talking about the baby or anything I think he just decided there are way too many girls in this house that he is gonna get out before it is too late. By the end of the day he was ok with it all and hopefully by the time she gets here he will be so excited for her to come. He prayed for her in his prayer this morning and told all of his school class that he is getting a baby sister so I know he is a little excited. He has been the sweetest to Kapri since the day she was born even though he wanted a boy with her too. All I can say is that whatever girl gets him as a husband will be one lucky girl he is going to be an amazing husband!!!

I do have to admit I was suprised at how badly I wanted a boy for Kyle's sake I even shed a few tears for him. But to tell you the honest truth I have just loved having all these girls it has been so much fun and I am also excited for the future of 4 sisters in a row, but my heart did hurt for Kyle yesterday just knowing he wanted a brother so badly, I grew up with 5 brothers and my only sister is 7 years older than me so I know how it is being the only one I wanted a sister close to me but I will admit though I loved my brothers and am very close them. He is already that way with his sisters so I am sure it will only get better.

As for the girls they are excited I think Kayelee kind of wanted a boy for Kyle but she is excited now for a girl and so is Kam's.

Joe and I are so excited. We are so excited to welcome our little girl into our home. I told Joe I knew we had atleast one more little girl up there and so I am not suprised she wanted to come with all the sisters:) I can tell you Joe didn't shed a tear he loves all his little girls so much and he is excited for this new little one. He did tell me that they will not be cheap though paying for all those weddings:)

Elder Wirthlin passed away a couple of days ago, I just love him, Joe was reading something about him and it said that he had 8 children 7 girls and 1 boy the boy came second and then all the rest were girls, when the final girl came and they told their son he said "not another one" I got a kick out of that and I think Kyle could relate with him.

we are so excited!!!

Joe suprised me with some beautiful pink roses yesterday and told me I had to eat on the special plate because I was carring our little girl. It was very sweet!

Sorry for the randomness and rambeling and that it took me so long to post this that is so annoying I know!!!

Ok last thing Joe said to me what are we going to name this girl. Ok so we are really stumped here after 3 girls we have used a lot of the names we like, we had a hard time naming Kapri as a matter of fact. We have a few ideas but any of yours would be greatly appreciated. It does not have to be a K name so we would love any suggestions!!!

anticipation...

Tomorrow we have our ultra-sound. I am so excited to find out what we are having... I can't wait, but I am also excited to make sure everything is a ok with the little one, it is always nice to make sure everything is going well. I can't wait to shop too I love being able to hit sales and get everything ready before the little one comes.

Tonight when I was talking to the kids before they went to bed I asked Kayelee what she wanted and she said a boy so we can have a lot of boys in our family. Kambree said she thinks its a girl and I asked Kyle what he thought it was a oh of course he thinks (wants so badly) for it to be a boy I said but if it's a girl it will be ok, he looked at me and gave me the thumbs down I don't think at first he will be ok with it but we will do some convincing and as soon as he sees her if it is a her he will love her to pieces just like he has Kapri.

Joe I think would perfer a boy to even things out a bit, and to have another boy to do things with, but I think really he will be a ok either way he loves his ladies.

As for me, I am so ok with either one. For Kyle's sake it would be nice to have a boy and it would be nice to throw another boy in the mix of all my girls but I will say I have loved having my three girls in a row, they are so much fun and think of all the awesome girls time we will have:) I am just excited to add another little one to our family so either way I am just excited to know.

I guess we will find out tomorrow, I will keep you posted.

Twilight at Midnight

This is not a spoiler to anyone who is anticipating the movie:)

Ok so me and a bunch of my really good friends here in Caldwell went to Twilight at Midnight. We met at TGI Friday's and had some appetizers/dessert and then headed to the movie about an hour and a half early to make sure we got some seats.

I do have to admit I have only read about the first 5 pages of the first book so I had no expectations at all. It was sooosoososooosososososososooooooo good the best chick flick/action that I have seen in a long time. I never even got sleepy at all and those who know me and know how well I stay awake at night know it must have been a dang good movie for me to stay awake during the entire thing and not even nod a head.

I will say All of the friends I went with had read the books and they didn't like it near as much as I did but they did enjoy the movies they just said the books were way better.

Anyway it was so fun and I felt like a teenager again:) I can't wait to watch the movie with Joe and see what he thinks and I am so ready to read the books!!

My friend took all the pictures so when I get them I will post them for now it is 3:30 am and I better get some shut eye!

Runner???

This was such a fun moment for me especially since I love sports so much. I went to parent teacher conferences and Kyle's teacher had nothing but wonderful things to say about him she said he is doing so well academically and all the girls just love him, I don't know how I feel about that part but what can I say he seems to be a chic magnent he came first and then three girls followed and now all we can get is girls I think I'll just blame that one on him:) Anway his teacher also told me that they ran the half mile in P.E and that he ran it the very fastest out of all the 1st graders (4:15 or so and the average for a first grader is around 6 minutes) Wow I was so excited I didn't even know he was a runner:) The P.E. Teacher's son is in Kyle's class and she told Kyle's teacher that Kyle and her son were running neck a neck the whole time and Kyle pulled away at the end, she said that Kyle is a great kid and all but Craig is her son and she really wanted him to win. I thought that was cute it was good to see that he had some competition and he worked hard and won. A half mile is not a short distance for a 6 year old so I was suprised they even have them run that but I will admit I was so excited for him.

They had an assembly at school to award the kids for different accomplishments and he got the First Grade P.E. Explorer award the P.E. Teacher wrote this on the back of his award...

Kyle Austin has earned the first Grade P.E. Explorer Award for his skills and abilities. Kyle gave three top performances on his fitness tests. WOW! Kyle is always attentive, respectful and a hard worker. Keep up the determination!

I thought that was so cool and I was so excited for my budding little athlete.

Project

I am not even going to begin to tell you why I started this project of making these tu-tus but I will say they did turn out so fun, my girls love them and I am glad to have my Halloween costumes almost finished for next year.

Kapri's is still in the making:)

Hiding Spot

Asleep like that

We played games with my brother and his wife that live in Nampa and we stayed pretty late, the kids fell asleep on the way home and when we looked back Kambree was in that position totally asleep.

Oh the joys of being a mommy

I will warn you this is not one of my joys... Ok so I am in here in our office posting some posts on my blog and reading some others when I hear Kambree gag in the other room as I yell to her, make it to the toliet, I run in there to help her and oh no she has not even made it out the door but she did make it out of the bed and fell right on Kayelee(I don't know maybe she fell on her in her sleep) who was sleeping in the middle of Kyle and Kambree, Kams fell right on her and threw up all over her, no kidding all over her!!! There were chunks everywhere!! I almost took a picture but I thought I'd spare all of you. So Kayelee has chunks all over her from Kambree none the less while Kambree got a little on her hands and her face, it was all over three blankets and got on the comforter, a little on the floor, the pillowcase, oh I was not a happy mama I had to wake Kayelee up to change her clothes and Kyle woke up in the process as well, ok I will admit I hate throw up, those and fevers I truly loathe when it comes to kids. I swear my house will never be the same after every time we get a throw up bug. Oh I hate em but I do love my kids chunks and all:) Oh the joys of being a mama.

I do hope we can get rid of this bug so everyone can just feel better and we can have no a throw up free day, I hate it when my kids are sick:( and I will admit I hate the mess! Kayelee threw up earlier this week all over a book, got some on the carpet and then Kapri woke up from her nap the same day and she had thrown up all over her crib so we are done for now with the throw up please!!!

Everyone is all fast asleep again and it is cleaned up for the most part minus a load or two of laundry but all is well, I thought I'd share my crazy moment with you as I was blogging. I guess I better go to bed so nothing else eventful happens!!

Yummy Treat

I love pomegranates especially this time of year when they are in season. I remember my mom buying them for us growing up and we loved them. They are so so yummy and really good for you too. Pomegranates have lots of potassium and anti-oxidants, they help enhance the immune system and help prevent plaque build up in side your body so they are really healthy for you and so so good. My kids love them too, I will break one open and as I am taking out all the seeds the kids are just gobbleing them up, yum yum. It is a great time of year to get them although they do get a bit cheaper a little closer to Christmas.

Happy Halloween!!

We from the princess and pirate house want to wish all of you a very Happy Halloween!!!

We had a very eventful day here are a few of the highlights:

No school YEAH!
Halloween Party with some neighborhood friends
Sponge rollers in the girls' hair
Dinner in a Pumpkin
Getting ready
3 of the cutest princesses and a pretty hot pirate
Trunk or Treating
Trick or Treating
Lots and Lots of candy
A wonderful Day!!!

The kids did have a great day but on Thursday Kayelee and Kapri both threw up so I knew our Halloween was probably done for but when they went to bed Thursday night everyone was doing great, Friday nobody had any problems we did our thing and then today, in the night or early morning Kambree threw up, Kyle has thrown up and also been sick all day today and now Joe has got it, it travels fast and seems to be over fast but it is not fun, I can't tell for sure if my sick in prego sick or what they have, but I actually feel a lot better this evening so I think I may have gotten it this morning but I am doing better. Well we were glad it skipped us on Halloween, we did have a great day yesterday.

Joe and I did go to a Halloween party ourselves with some friends after our kids were in bed we got a sitter and had a blast playing band something or other on X-box 360, we ate and had a great time even though we were so exausted from a long wonderful day!!

Start from the bottom with the pictures they are in order that way.

Happy Halloween from us to you!

We are ready!!

Introducing!!!!!

Baby #5 OH my can you believe it, we are so so excited!!!!!!

I will be a Mama of five, Wow I think that makes me old or something:)

I am not actually too worried I think after 3 it is no big deal just one more special little person and a lot of fun to add to our family. I feel so blessed to get each one, this one was a little harder to get for us and I have bled some so it just helps us be grateful for everything and that things are going well.

It was very cute at first Kayelee was sure we needed another girl and then I talked with her and told her it would also be ok if we had a boy because she has 2 sisters and Kyle doesn't even have 1 brother, now she hopes we have a boy and she is very ok with that and if you ask her why she says "because Kyle needs a brother" I have told her, well what about you don't you need a brother but she is sure it is Kyle that needs the brother. It is sweet that she would like a boy so her brother can have a brother even though really inside I think she would prefer a girl, she does not sway from her answer though everytime you ask her what she wants she says a boy. It's a good thing they come as they are supposed to, but I will admit I will have one sad boy and I'm not talking about Joe come the ultra-sound and we are not having a boy, good thing we will have a few weeks to smooth things over before the little one gets here.

Well we are so extremely excited and it will nice to not be sick (I am not there yet) anymore, my body knows how to be pregnant for sure I am only 12-13 weeks and I already have a bump that has never happened to me before so here goes again:) I thought I better tell you all before you all start asking???

I am due May 3rd :)!!!
One day before our anniversary, lets hope he/she comes before or after so he/she doesn't have to share it with us.

This is a profile of its head and big belly and its little hands and feet.

I know this looks a little funny but look close, I just love this picture that is it's little belly with the legs crossed so so cute. To early to tell what it is so no guessing yet.

Parenting Class

I am taking a parenting class right now and it is absolutely amazing! It is one of the best classes I have ever taken. It is offered through BYU-I but I take it here in Nampa by an LDS teacher who has raised 9 children. It is just awesome she is amazing and I have gotten some of the most wonderful ideas. She backs up all her topics by scripture or words from the Prophets or General Authorities so everything is so credible and then she give us so many wonderful examples from her own life and home work. I have grown a lot and hope to grow some more as I apply some of the things she talks about in my own life. I have just loved taking the class it has given me such a great perspective on motherhood and all it's wonderfulness!! I'll share some more detail later if any are interested.

Explorer of the week

Kyle gets in the car yesterday and casually tells me he got "Explorer of the Week" at school. I was so pround of him. I love the part where his teacher said he is willing to help his classmates out, last year his teacher said the same thing she said she would put him by kids who were struggling with thier letters or needed a little extra help because he was so kind and willing to help them out. I do love that about him he is so helpful and kind he is the perfect oldest brother and child and his leadership skills come from within thats for sure. I got a little teary eyed when I read the award, It is just neat to see your kids succeed and do well especially when it comes to values at least a little of what we are teaching him is sinking in and I told him that the reason I was so proud of him was because by him getting this award I know he is doing good when I am not around and that makes me so so happy, he is making good choices all on his own and I love that!

I so love my little man!

Snuggled up by the fire

I love this time of year and this is one of the reasons!

I caught Joe reading to the kids by the fire place all snuggled up!!

Beware of the graphic photos!! OOOOUUUCCCCHHHHH

Take a guess at what kid you think this is???

Well those of you who know us well would have for sure guessed Kayelee she is she tends to be a bit accident prone and yep she did it again.

I was gone to a Dr appt. one morning and came home to Kayelee with a mouth of sores. Joe said she was running down the hall with a train whistle in her mouth (it is one that was made to look old fashioned and it is wood with square sharp edges) and she fell hence the big sores in the back of her mouth. Joe said it bled quite a bit and it looked very painful. I felt so bad for her but she was pretty good about it and they are healing up wonderfully!

Hopefully lesson learned don't run with anything in your mouth (I doubt it even phased her!!)

PH makes an F sound

Last night Kyle was reading out the the Large blue Book of Mormon before bedtime and he came across the word Hemisphere he sounded it out and he sounded out the ph with the f sound I was suprised I turned to him and asked him where he learned that, he said at workshop at school. I was excited that he had learned such a hard thing at school so we started talking about words that have a ph with an f sound and Joe asked Kyle how do you spell my name (because Joseph has the ph with an f sound so Joe was trying to get tricky with him)? Kambree proudly announced before Kyle could even start, D A D. Well that was a bit of wit and both Joe and I had to smile at that.

Fall's Favorites

Oh I love the Fall, I love all the changes in seasons but for some reason I do just love this time of year though. I love decorating this time of year I have so much fun with it so I though I'd share some of my holiday cheer and some of my favorite things about fall.

I really like the color orange and I get to decorate with it this time of year

The only thing I don't love about the fall is that it gets too dark and cold in the early morning to run that is the saddest thing about the fall for me but I have a new treadmill this year so I am excited to use it.

I love, love, love decorating my house at this time of year I just have so much fun doing it.

Enjoy my holiday cheer!!
