Last Day of Church??

My Kiwi

This is Kayelee putting her arm around Kapri when I told her too but Kapri ran off, she decided to put her arm around Kapri anyway:) She really is one of a kind, read the post and you'll see why:).

Ok so last week was the kids last day of school, I drive my kids to school every day so the drive there is with all the kids and the way home is just with the three little girls Kayelee usually ends up talking to herself or to me about random things. Well it was the last week of school and I hear her back in the back saying it is the kids last day of school and then I see the wheels start spinning and she looks up at me and says "mom is there a last day of church?" I get a smile on my face and say "no Kayelee there isn't a last day of church," then she says "I wish there was a last day of church cause I hate church" I don't say anything I just smile and then she says "well I don't hate church I just don't really like it" I just smile she is totally entitled to her opinion but in my head I am thinking where have we gone wrong with this girl?:) (no just kidding I remember not really caring for the long days of church when I was little either who can blame the girl) anyway the conversation continued and she gets a smile on her face as if she knows the answer but asks me anyway, "mom do you like church?" I look up and say "yeah I like church" she knew what I would say but wanted to see if I would be naughty and say no like her. What a bad influence this little girl has on me:) No, just kidding it was a funny conversation, what a kid she is, only she would ask if there was a last day of church?

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

How can I ever thank all of you enough for all you have done for our family as we have had this new sweet little one come into our home. Everyone has been so kind and taken such great care of us. We have had meal after meal brought in and it has been wonderful. We have had phone calls, cute outfits, and presents brought over, flowers, sweet comments left on my blog or

e-mails etc. Everyone has been so wonderful it is so nice to see the out pouring of love from great family and friends. Joe and I feel so so blessed and we just wanted to say Thank You all for everything. My Mom said when they set her apart to go on this mission that her family would be taken care of and that what she prayed for would get answered. Well we have been so so taken care of and I have thought more than once it is because she is serving and the Lord is doing his part to take care of her family while she is away.

So thank you all for answering prayers and being such great friends and family we could never thank you all enough.

A very special THANKS to my friend Jenna for watching my kids while we were in the hospital, she came over at 1:00am when my water broke to stay with my kids and kept them for a whole day and a half, she has 1 and took on my 4 and was awesome, Thanks again Jenna!!!

Also, thank you for the girls night out it was so so fun!!

Thanks again to everyone who has brought a meal, called, left a comment, brought a gift, stopped by to say hi, etc. It has meant so much to me, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

With much love,

Joe, Deborah, Kyle, Kambree, Kayelee, Kapri, and Brittlee

Where'd she come from??

Many people have commented on how dark Brittlee is, hair and skin, I think it shocks them when they see me and then look at her. Lots of people have asked me if all my babies are that dark. Yes they have all been dark, much to my suprise as well, when I had Kyle I was not exactly sure if he was mine except I pushed for over 4 hours to get him here so I surley claimed the dark skinned darked haired boy and then they all came looking like that so I don't worry anymore. The card that they put in the bassinet at the hospital when Kyle was born even had a little black baby on it did they even look at Joe and I. Anyway it was funny so in explanation to the dark children I guess it comes from Joe and then I tend to take over later on:)... I thought I would never get a blondie with Joe being so dark and I have 2, I love the dark and the light how can you go wrong they are all cute:)

So there is my explanation. I will admit Brittlee and Kyle were the darkest but Kayelee and Kambree were pretty dark as well Kapri was the lightest although she was dark too.

Here are some pictures to show you how dark she is.

nice contrast

Brittlee... 3 weeks old

I can't believe she will be three weeks old tomorrow, she is already growing up way too fast!!! She is so cute and we love her so so much!! The kids still ask to hold her all the time, honestly we are just cherishing this sweet little one, I just love sitting and holding her and kissing those soft chubby cheeks.

(Thank you Aunt Jenny for the very cute outfit my mom had so much fun dressing me up in it and taking my picture:)

Dancing with her boys

In the last two days I caught both of these boys dancing with Brittlee. I guess she is to cute for them to keep their hands off her, I can't blame them she's a keeper.

little belly now

Ok so about 2 months ago when I was so big pregnant I took a picture of Kayelee with a picture she had drawn of me with a big huge round belly, well the other day she came in and showed me the picture she had drawn of me and said this is me now with a small tummy because the baby is gone. I was glad to see that she noticed a difference but I'm going to be working on the pudge for a while but it was cute to see her art work over the months. Notice I still have a "belly" just not a huge one, fun to see it from her perspective.

Tiny Toes

There is just something so sweet about these tiny little toes.

Mother's Day

First I have to say Happy Mother's day to all you Mom's out there that I admire so so much. You are all wonderful and inspiring to me.

I have to say I had a WONDERFUL day!!! My greatest gifts are these 5 kids I have, I feel so blessed to be called their mom, I love them so so much. It was an especilly special gift to have a new baby for this mothers day, what a treat.

Well Joe and the kids made the day so special. Kyle was so excited to give me his present he had made at school, he wrote me the cutest card and made me a jewlery box, Kambree also made me a card at school and was so excited to give it to me, I loved that they were so excited to share with me how much they love me, it was fun to get sweet little gifts from my kids.

Joe gave me so very meaningful presents ones I will cherish forever. First he made me a DVD from shutterfly with tons of our family pictures on it so you can play it on your TV and just watch pictures kind of like a screen saver it is really cool and I loved it. The other thing he gave me that I was so so excited about was a picture of Elizabeth Horracks Jackson (the pioneer we named Brittlee after). My mom had given us a picture for Christmas and I loved it but it was not the one I first saw that really intrigued me and made me want to get to know her story (the picture I saw hanging in the Martin center when we went on trek it was that next day after I had asked my mom about her story and read about her that I had that strong feeling there was a girl that would come to my home and I needed to name her after this amazing woman). I had told Joe I wanted that picture and then told him not to worry about it cause my mom was going to get if for me. When it ended up being the wrong picture of her he went a head and found the one that I love and bought it for me. I was so excited I just started crying when I saw it, I had no idea he had gotten it and it was so special to me and meant so much. The kids were wondering why I was crying so I told them her story and they thought that was so neat. Just a very sweet special experience for me.

This is the picture it is kind of hard to see but it is beautiful along with my five greatest presents:)

What a sweet present to have a new baby

What a wonderful Mother's day!!

Brittlee's first two weeks

Well here are a few pictures of our first two weeks with our sweet Brittlee. I think everyone was amazed at how quickly I posted from the hospital but I have to admit it was much eaiser to get in a post in the hospital then since I've been home. So here are some pictures... finally.

Let me just say we are LOVING this little girl. She is so sweet and everyone is just loving holding her. The kids are so much help and they have adjusted so well to her there hasn't been really any adjustment. It was so sweet at the dinner table on Sunday Kyle Said out of the blue "I wouldn't trade her for a brother ever" I thought that was so sweet he has fallen in love with this little girl, like the rest of us. She is a sweet little baby and we love having her in our home and the sweet spirit she has brought with her, there is nothing like having a new baby in your home just a little piece of Heaven.
