BEFORE...
After, What do you think???
Joe got roped into doing this project with me, Our house was just so plain on the outside it just needed something so we decided to take on this project a couple of weeks ago and now it is done so of course I had to blog about it.
Oh I was so nervous about the red I debated between chocolate brown and red and both Joe and I decided in the end to go red. After I painted them they were just all so red so I got a little nervous but I think it turned out ok and it is so nice to look a little differnt from our neithbors. I had a heck of a time painting that door I bought a cheap roller from Wal-mart (never do that) and used it and it left fuzzy flecks all over my door so I had to wait for it to dry and sand it down, and while I was waiting for it to dry I had to run to Kelly Williams to get a real roller, all the while the door knob was off (no lock on the door) and I couldn't even shut the door all the way because the paint was wet. I loaded up all the kids and we took off to the store with no door knob on our door. I told our neighbors to keep a look out for us but everything was fine when we got home. Anyway all in all it got done... Yeah! I will also have to post a funny picture of Joe putting the shutters up, but I'll save it for another day it will all give you a good laugh.
Oh and I don't care for the wreath on the front door at all but it will have to do until I can find the perfect one:)

I forgot to tell you the other day how great the house looked! I was too excited to pick up my swimsuit and I forgot to tell you! My top by the way is PERFECT! Anyways, good decision with the red, I LOVE it!
I think your house looks so wonderful and put together now. I love the red! I want to make some shutters now--I wanted to last year but we didn't have the moola. Now I'll be roping Heath in to all sorts of projects: shutters, garden, rearranging the garage, re-landscaping, etc. I can't believe you had to leave your house without a door knob attached and the door cracked open. That is classic. It's one of the best looking facades in the neighborhood now.
I love your house. I'm waiting to do the same thing this summer when people are here to help and the weather is warmer.
I have been WAITING for these pictures and knew it would look good....but it even looked better than I imagined!!!! Okay-that settles it-definitely asking Aaron to make shutters for me for my b-day! The red looks AWESOME! WAY GOOD JOB YOU GUYS!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

I love it Deb! You guys have done a great job! Great work Joseph. Love, Mom
Looks way cute Deb! We still have yet to come to visit you guys and see your home. I love the red too. I've added some red to my living room, and have been very pleased with it. It feels really bold at the beginning, but then after it's done, I'm always so pleased with it. I've decided bold is good. :) Someday we'll have a real house that we can paint the outside and do fun stuff like you've done. Miss you tons!!
