Kambree

Well on a light note we cut her hair on Saturday, she thought it was the funnest thing in the whole world the boys were gone to a basketball clinic and they had taken Kayelee as well so it was just me Kam's and Kapri, I had been wanting to cut her hair because it needed it so bad so finally on Saturday we did it and I think it turned out so cute. She loves it and always wants to leave it down now that it is cut. While we were cutting it she kept asking if it looks like Grandma's my mom's is cut short like this so I think she was hoping it would look like hers. We also ate Captian Crunch together a cereal we rarely eat and fixed her hair with mommy's straightener she was loving all of it. We ended up having a great girls morning.

On a little more of a heavier note this girl has been to so many appointments in the last 2 months she has been to the dentist 3 times the Orthopedic doctor once, her orthotic doctor once which we go back to in a couple of weeks to get her new orthotic, to the peditrician to have her warts removed and a check up on her hearing, she failed the hearing test at school on one of her ears so they told us to have it looked into by our pediatrician which just so happens to be my brother, he sent us to get a hearing evaluation done so we went to that appointment as well. It is a very extensive test and gives you good results, they said she has fluid behind both ears which is causing her to not hear well and that she has some permanant hearing loss in the left ear. They told us she should probably have tubes put in and then have her hearing re-tested to see how extensive the loss is but the Doctor that performed the test did think it would probably be well for her to have a hearing aid. I will admit I was a bit overwhelmed by all that news my heart broke for her one more thing... for her can you imagine, but no complaint from her. So we went to the doctor that was going to put the tubes in and he refered us out to specifically a pediatric ears, nose and throat doctor because he had never seen another case like hers before so he wanted to get her to the best doctor so off we go next week to see another doctor to hopefully get the tubes put in and then her hearing a little better and then we will go from there. So we have been to 8 appointments since the first of December and she has a eye apt. one to get her orthotic and then all the hearing stuff so a few more appointments with that and the procedure of getting the tubes in. All in all she is an amazing little girl she endures it well, better than I do lots of times. We just hope we can get her hearing well so she can enjoy life to it's fullest it makes me sad to think she hasn't been hearing well all this time. Both Joe and I were picking up on it but we didn't know it was this bad. But we are so greatful she hears as well as she does and speaks as clear as she does. What a strong little person I'll be lucky if I make it through without many a tears but I have not doubts about her she's as strong as an ox:)

Wow goodluck! My nephews both had to have tubes and they have improved so much with speech and speaking. It's amazing how much it can help. What a little sweetheart that she wants to be like grandma! I love it! :)

Ryker failed his hearing test on both ears and they sent us to a specialist who said hte same thing, hearing aid in one ear for sure and possibly both. They did tubes and on the way home he heard EVERYTHING! We got out of the car and he heard a bird! He was so puzzled and I bawled cause I never relaized that he couldn't hear birds! The surgery was so easy and the recovery too and when we had his hearing tested post-op he passed with flying colors! Tubes can be amazing! If anyone can do you sweet angel can!

Wow, I thought we'd been to doctor apps. a lot lately, but you and Kambree take the cake! Poor girl, I really hope the tubes will help! My girlfriend's daughter had so many ear infections her first two years of life and then they finally put tubes in and she hasn't had one since and has overall been such a happier little person. It really makes a huge difference and I hope it will all go well for her and you! You're both (all) such troopers and truly so amazing! Love ya!

What a DoLL! :o) I can relate to all the appts.-- but mine have been meetings at the school... for everything. I average about 2 meetings a month, it's mostly for Logan, but I'm having Asha observed in class ect. ... I don't know what's going on with her. Kids are so Strong! I believe they are here on this earth at this specific time for a reason & they are in our families for a reason as aswell. I've learned & grown so much from Logan & his Special Needs this past year & I've also cried a few tears. You're a GreaT Mom Deb. :o) Good luck with the tubes.
