2 GREAT movies!!!

Tell me what you think if you get a chance to watch it!

Joe and I had an awesome night last night, we stayed up and watched the American idol episodes we had missed this week and then I have been wanting to watch Fireproof so bad so at midnight we decided to stay up and watch Fireproof we didn't go to bed till after 2:30 a.m. we don't do that very often but it was so fun to have a really long evening with my hubby and the movie was so well worth staying up for.

The other movie is LOVING LEAH (I could'nt find a picture for that one) it was a Hallmark special that they played on CBS but it will be available to buy in a few months from the Hallmark store if you go to http://www.hallmark.com/ and type loving leah in the search spot and it will bring up where you can read about the movie.

I have to admit Joe and I hate all the garbage in movies we rarely even watch much PG-13 any more because they have become so trashy, so when we find a good one we are so so excited. Neither of these are Hollywoods versions for sure so it is different then what you are used to seeing, it is so good though no bad stuff at all I can highly recomend both of them with out even saying at all that there is even one little part there is NOT, can you believe it.

Fireproof is a wonderful inspiring story, with such a great message, specifically about marriage, but it is all about relationships it is awesome it is done by Christians I am not sure if it is a specific faith or not but they talk about God a lot and how he can change our lives. Anyway I know I may be a bit sappy but I would be sad if I didn't share this rare find with you. It was so good. Another movie that the creators of Fireproof made a while back is Facing the Giants it is another great one that I would recommend. Very religious much like Fireproof.

Fire Proof is such a statement to the world about what is most important I truly loved it. Ioviously loved the main story line but I also loved the relationship between a father and a son and a mother and her son, so wonderful. Goes to show how much love you really invest in your children and how much you really love them and want to see them truly happy.

Loving Leah is lighter but just a wonderful CLEAN awesome chick flick no lust or sex garbage. Really, really good.

Ok well if you get a chance to watch Fireproof tell me what you think and I will let you know when Loving Leah is going to be available to purchase.

One more thing... Kirk Cameron (from growing pains) is the main Charcter in Fireproof and he has come out and said he will not kiss anyone else in a movie except his own wife so in the scene that he and the wife from the movie kiss it is really his own wife dressed up like the actor, I thought that was so so cool!

One more thing about the K names...

I did just want to say also it is funny but we never intended to name all or kids with K's it is just what we liked and ultimatly wanted for that individual kid, with Kyle, Kayelee, and Kapri (we were pretty sure with Kambree although we did throw a few other names into the mix) we thought about other names and they did not start with K so it really was just what we liked for each kid and now we like something else so I'm glad lots of you think the same. Each name is special for each individual kid and thats whats important, thanks for listening to my rambleing and making comments.

Going away from K???

Ok so Joe and I have not talked about names for this little girl for a while on Sunday we started talking about it and we both don't really want to name her a K name I had laid in bed the night before thinking and worrying about it because I was thinking I know we will have more kids and if we have a boy we have a few names we like one of them is actually a K name but the others aren't and the one Joe would like the most is not a K name so we know not all our kids will have K names so it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but then I thought well what if by chance this is our last girl I know that isn't likely for us considering our record but I knew before I had this girl that there was atleast one more girl up there, we want a few more kids but what if this is the last girl though and she is not a K name and all three of her older sisters are, will that make her feel bad even if she has brothers that are not K names, I know this is silly but I was worried about it, so as Joe and I were talking I asked him do you think it is a big deal if we don't name her a K name and he didn't think so at all especially if atleast one or two of our other kids are not K names and then I said to him "well how would you feel if your oldest brother started with a D Dave and then your other brother started with a D Daryl and then your other brother started with a D Daniel and then yours was the only one to start with a J" and then he totally started snickering and then I got it, I thought to myself, that is all the brothers you have and they all start with a D except for you and we just laughed I can't believe I did that. Well it hasn't bothered him at all obviously since I never even realized that was the case for him, granted he has sisters with names that start with P, A, and J.

So I guess we will probably go away from the K which I am excited about I don't really love any other K names I have heard so far enough to name her that but I just don't want her to feel bad.

What do you guys think???

Kayelee's Quotes

Ok so in the last little while Kayelee has said some of the funniest things sometimes I wonder what goes through that girls head??

One day I was talking to the kids about activities and what ones they wanted to do Kyle wanted to to soccer and basketball I was asking Kambree and Kayelee if they wanted to do soccer or dance and of course Kayelee's response was dance. She proceeced to talk to me about dance that day and that she really wanted to do it I told her that she probably could but that it would be when she got just a bit older. Then she brought it up again and you could tell she had just kept thinking about it. So she said something about it again and then looked up at me and said "if I do dance who will be my prince" Oh my I guess any girl that does dance has got to have a prince, I told her she didn't need a prince to do dance and she was sure she did so later I told her Kyle could be her prince and she was ok with that. I guess every princess goes to a ball (dance) and has a prince so why shouldn't she:)???

Then she came up to me a couple of days ago and seriously says "mom I just want to fly" and I started to laugh a little because she was so serious about it and Joe was right there and he said like the birds and she said "yes" and then he told her that when he was little he wanted to do that too and I think she thought that was cool that her dad liked that kind of stuff too when he was little. The kids try to fly off our benches that we have to our kitchen table so I guess that is what inspiried that one. I also told her we would have to take her on a plane sometime and she thought that would be so cool.

A few months back she told me she wanted a wand I asked her why and she said so she could change people into cows and pigs.

Yesterday she came and sat by me and said "mom I just really want to be a mom right now" oh I said you do and then I proceeded to tell her lots of things mom's have to do and that she needs a dad and that mom's have to take care of the babies, and take care of all the kids and drive the car and she was sure she could do all that even though I told her her feet can't even touch the pedals in the van for her to drive it. It didn't matter she was ready to go. I love how she is so sure she can do anything if we had that kind of confidence we could probably do way more than we do. I am also so glad she wants to be a mommy I hope that is always the thing she wants to be when she grows up.

She likes to ask me where things come from so yesterday she asked me where ham comes, she is not a big meat eater anyway so I was a little hesitant but said from a pig and she goes yuck I don't want to eat a pig! Then she asked where one of the fruits or veggies we were eating came from and I told her they grow it and then we can eat it. When she starts asking questions I will sometimes turn it back on her so yesterday after she had asked those I said what were you made from and she said "a mommy". I loved it:)

I know these probably seem like silly comments to you but they are so sweet and I love them and I know I will forget them if I don't write them down so here they are.

Kambree

Well on a light note we cut her hair on Saturday, she thought it was the funnest thing in the whole world the boys were gone to a basketball clinic and they had taken Kayelee as well so it was just me Kam's and Kapri, I had been wanting to cut her hair because it needed it so bad so finally on Saturday we did it and I think it turned out so cute. She loves it and always wants to leave it down now that it is cut. While we were cutting it she kept asking if it looks like Grandma's my mom's is cut short like this so I think she was hoping it would look like hers. We also ate Captian Crunch together a cereal we rarely eat and fixed her hair with mommy's straightener she was loving all of it. We ended up having a great girls morning.

On a little more of a heavier note this girl has been to so many appointments in the last 2 months she has been to the dentist 3 times the Orthopedic doctor once, her orthotic doctor once which we go back to in a couple of weeks to get her new orthotic, to the peditrician to have her warts removed and a check up on her hearing, she failed the hearing test at school on one of her ears so they told us to have it looked into by our pediatrician which just so happens to be my brother, he sent us to get a hearing evaluation done so we went to that appointment as well. It is a very extensive test and gives you good results, they said she has fluid behind both ears which is causing her to not hear well and that she has some permanant hearing loss in the left ear. They told us she should probably have tubes put in and then have her hearing re-tested to see how extensive the loss is but the Doctor that performed the test did think it would probably be well for her to have a hearing aid. I will admit I was a bit overwhelmed by all that news my heart broke for her one more thing... for her can you imagine, but no complaint from her. So we went to the doctor that was going to put the tubes in and he refered us out to specifically a pediatric ears, nose and throat doctor because he had never seen another case like hers before so he wanted to get her to the best doctor so off we go next week to see another doctor to hopefully get the tubes put in and then her hearing a little better and then we will go from there. So we have been to 8 appointments since the first of December and she has a eye apt. one to get her orthotic and then all the hearing stuff so a few more appointments with that and the procedure of getting the tubes in. All in all she is an amazing little girl she endures it well, better than I do lots of times. We just hope we can get her hearing well so she can enjoy life to it's fullest it makes me sad to think she hasn't been hearing well all this time. Both Joe and I were picking up on it but we didn't know it was this bad. But we are so greatful she hears as well as she does and speaks as clear as she does. What a strong little person I'll be lucky if I make it through without many a tears but I have not doubts about her she's as strong as an ox:)

Discovery center

My Brother and sister-in-law for Christmas gave us a family pass to the Discovery Center in Boise, we took the kids on saturday and the kids had a blast. There was so much to do there we didn't even see it all, I'm glad we have the pass so we can go back. They had a pet center there where you could leash up stuffed dogs and cats etc., brush their fur, take care of them, lots of different stuff, the girls loved that. They really had so many cool things to do, lots of science stuff it was really interesting. I will admit the funniest one was the one of the pictures below we laughed and laughed when we saw each other through this mirror tube type thing it was so funny you will just have to see for yourself.

Hello Uncle Daryl...

Kapri went around the other day with both of these phones in hand on ear talking to Daryl what she had to say to him I have no idea but I thought it was so cute that she was talking just to him, he better feel pretty special cause she is a cute one, McCall may need to be a little nervous:)

Celebrating Jeff's Birthday. Jeff is my brother who was killed in a tractor accident on our family farm when he was 12. His birthday is December 10th so my Mom started a tradition that each year on his birthday she would give us an ornament in remembrance of him. She has done that for many year's now and so our tree is full of sweet remembrances of him, it is a sweet time of year to appreciate him and know that because of the Savior we can be together forever with him someday.
These were the ornaments we got this year.

Pam and Brian's wedding

The cute couple

I love the look of sweet happiness on both of their faces, what a special day for them.

Happy Holidays

Decorating the tree

She loved putting up Christmas and hated taking it down, when I was taking off all the decorations after Christmas she kept saying "put them back" she was not ready for the holiday season to be over.

Her bruise she got from riding the 4-wheeler with daddy up in Washington. They were riding through a combined corn field and they hit a circle track and she hit the handle bars:(

Happy Birthday Miss Kayelee 4 Years old!!
(We celebrated with ice cream cake at Grandma's house)

Presents at our house before we left for Washington that evening

Stuff hanging from the door, one of the kid's favorite parts about birthdays

Well between Thanksgiving and New Year's we have been lots of places we have been to Washington and Utah twice each and driven around 2,300 miles. We have had a wonderful time it has been busy but wonderful. We went to Washington for Thanksgiving down to Utah for Pam's wedding, came home for a week to go to school and Doctor's visits, we went back to Utah for Christmas and then up to Washington for My sister's sealing and New Years. It was an adventure, but a fun one our kids are great in the car and they loved visiting so much family they keep asking us when we are going back to Washington and Utah I can't believe they are already up for it again. After packing and un packing and re-packing and traveling I can say I am glad to be home for a while:).
In all that time we also had Kayelee's birthday and I never did a Happy Birthday post for her, she is an amazing little girl my spit fire and sassy princess, she is so smart and never ceases to amaze me. She understands lots of Kambree's Kindergarten homework and she still has over a year before she starts school. She loves girly things, painting her toes especially, she loves her babies and playing with her siblings. You know how you always have to get one child just like you well she's it she is much like I was as a little girl. She is very thoughtful of me and when I am sad she always tries to make me feel better.

We love her so much and are so blessed to have her as part of our family. Happy way late 4th birthday Kayelee!!

Since we have done so much and been so many places it would take me forever to post about all of it so I am just going to post some random pictures of the things we have done over the past 6 weeks, including Christmas so I can be caught up. I can't wait to get caught up and read all of your blogs and hear about all your happenings:) (see all the photos above)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
