Race Day...

Sore muscles, red faces, bridges over the boise river, beautiful trees, 13.1 miles, the finish line.

I ran my second half marathon on saturday. It was awesome!! I have been training since the begining of March so it was great to do a race. The course was beautiful it ran along the greenbelt that follows the Boise river so it was cool and beautiful the whole way. I enjoyed the race very much. It was hard but so rewarding. My favorite part of the race was when I was coming to the finish line and I heard the sweet voices of my little kids and hubby cheering for their Mama, there is nothing sweeter at that moment of exahustion and tiredness that can give you that last ounce of push to make it to the finish line. I almost cried right there as I was runing (I know I'm kind of silly) But it just made everything worth it. I love those moments that you will remember forever.

The only thing that would have made it sweeter would have been to have Pam and Aaron with me and my running partner Karylee, I missed running it with them, but hopefully we will do the next one together.

My friend Jennilynn, this was her first half marathon, she did an awesome job and it was so great to have her run the race with me.

The finish line

The moment I heard the kids and Joe... Oh that was awesome!

Well, I'd like to say that I'd like to do that someday...but I don't know if that's true for me. I was glad that I did cross country my senior year and didn't have to do it another year, 'cause I probably wouldn't.

How awesome that your kids can see you push yourself and accomplish such a big thing. Good job, Deb!

Wow, Deb, that's so awesome! Great job! I'm sure one of these days that post title will say "I ran a marathon" and then "I ran the Boston Marathon" because you can do anything! (But it's okay if you don't because I can't even do a 5K! :D) Way to go!

Deb, you are crazy. I'm sure you'll probably do a full marathon one of these days. I don't know if I could do it. I'm running with one of my neighbors, and we only do like 4 miles. Great job, seriously. You are awesome.

WooHOO! Have you ever wanted to get yourself checked out? I hate to be the one to break it to you - but, it's not normal. You know, the running thing. Not really - I am really proud of you - that's big! I would have joined you, but I was busy that day.
