What a list have fun reading this crazy long thing oh my.
I was tagged twice from my friends blog and from an e-mail from Pam to do a list of 25 random things about me. I have been wanting to do my 100 list for a long time (I saw it on a few other blogs and thought it would be cool) but it takes so much time so I have put it off, when I got tagged twice on the 25 random things I thought I'd go for my 100 list it's a marathon so good luck I'll still love ya if you don't make it to the end.
1. Joe is my very best friend... If I had to chose anyone to do anything with I would pick him first. The only thing I do not like doing with him is shopping... he hates spending money... if he did not have a family he would live in a cardboard box with a gallon of milk a beef stick and a bag of chips. See the good influence I have been on him:)
2. Joe, Kyle, Kambree, Kayelee, and Kapri are my favorite people in the whole world I count my blessings and am so grateful they are mine for forever.
3. I love family... mine and Joe's I love every chance to visit them and every chance they have to visit. Family means everything to me.
4. I grew up on a farm in Basin City Washington (the town in not even incooperated) Nothing was close, town (where we did most of our shopping) was 45 minutes away my high school was 30 minutes away, we drove our cars a lot. You couldn't just order pizza on the weekend:)I really did love my life growing up, it was unique and I want to teach my kids to work hard and to play hard and have some of those kind of experiences like I had. I will never forget the wonderful voice of my dad at 5:00 am coming into our rooms saying we were burning daylight I wish I could have said Dad do you see the sun but then I would have gotten kicked in the rear so I didn't. I did learn how to work HARD:) I do have to say though in all my growing up years my Dad never worked a minute on sunday if he did'nt have to. Even if the rain was coming on monday and he knew it he would not get his hay up he didn't bale or swath if it was Sunday.
5. Don't ask about my experience swathing hay lets just say my Dad didn't use me as a regular.
6. I changed so many handlines over and over and over again I will admit sometimes I thought whats the point get up change them before school, come home from school change them again and then start over the next day. Or my Dad would buy a beat up farm and fix it up to increase the value of the land and to better grow crops on it so we would go to the farm with a flat bed truck and just pick up rocks for hours. In a kids mind how pointless, but now I look back and it's that kind of work that I am so glad I learned how to do. I've picked apples, cherries, peaches, raspberries, asparagus, thinned apples, canned just about any fruit you can grow up there etc. of course with my mom. I am not such a canner now. I would like to do it more. I do like to do grape juice and frozen berry Jam though.
7. I am a horrible speller, really bad. I don't know how, but I won the spelling bee in grade school and the winning word was YUMMY. I even spelled Ukulele right but I now have nothing to show for my one moment of fame in spelling. Sorry for all the spelling errors in this.
8. I hated Jr. High I was ugly and wore braces and everyone was so mean.
9. I loved my high school experience. I played Soccer, Basketball, and ran track and loved it so much I really do miss that part of highschool and all my great friends I really had some awesome ones! I love the bunch of girls I ran around with there was a lot of us and I am so grateful for their good influence in my life.
10. I was voted most athletic in high school and was first team all league is soccer and basketball. I played varsity soccer as a freshman and as a sophmore in basketball I tried track for the first time as a sophmore and was faster than I thought I'd be. I really loved sports this was my passion at this time in my life. Soccer was my favorite sport, then b-ball. I like running more now then I did in highschool, I got so nervous for every race that it was really hard for me. I like team sports a lot better.
11. I was a state champion in the 800m run and second in the mile run. My basketball team also took second place when I was a sophmore and we took 6th when I was a senior.
12. I false started in the 800m run when I was a senior at a district meet I was a defending state champ in that event, I never crossed the line just flinched my back leg, the starter was a rookie (there's my good excuse for the false start) I had worked so hard that season it was a sad day for me. I guess it goes to show those kind of things don't mean everything. I also sprained my ankle right before state and district track my senior year. I did it pretty bad so to get it to heal faster they used medicine they use for horses when they have hurt legs. It makes all your fluids, sweat, spit, etc. smell like horses so for a week I just stunk. The whole bus on the way to the meet could smell me. I guess it worked I still ran the race and placed at state.
13. I played soccer in Georgia on an all-star team. We were there over the weekend. My friend and I were the only members of the church so on sunday the whole team went to Universal Studios in Flordia and we took a taxi to church. That was my first time in a taxi and we just kept watching the meter go up, up, up, it cost us over $20 to go to church that day but thanks to my friend we chose church insted of Universal Studios. I told ya I had some good friends.
14. I have ran 2 half marathons since Kapri was born, and I LOVE RUNNING.
15. I Love GOOD movies and watch them over and over, my definition of a good movie is a great story line with no garbage in it. To name a few: Magic of Ordinary days, Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea , Pride and Prejudice (A&E version), Facing the Giants, Love comes softly, Fireproof, Loving Leah, just to name a few (I know I'm sappy but these are the ones real love is about:) I really do love watching a good movie one of my favoirte things to do when I just want to relax and do nothing, I especially love watching them with Joe.
16. I love treats and ice cream is my favorite, Schwans to be exact. Chocolate is also a favorite of mine. I love chocolate chip cookies and brownies they are staples for me. Popcorn, ice cream, and egg sandwiches on sunday nights were what we grew up on I loved it.
17. I love fruit!!! I can't think of a fruit I don't like a lot. Fresh Strawberries, Bluberries, Raspberries,Pomegranates, pinapple, mango, oranges, grapefruit, apples, peaches, and Huckleberries are probably my favorite, but I love any kind.
18. I love drinks, I am not a huge pop fan but I love fruit drinks, smoothies, naked juice, etc. anything that is 100 % fruit juice.
19. I love my Vita-mix, Kitchen aid, Bosch and washer and dryer (can you imagine life as a mom without a washer and dryer) they are my favorite appliances and I use them all the time. Especially the Kitchen aid, Vita-mix and washer and dryer, the Bosch I mostly use for making big batches of bread and it comes in really handy for that.
20. I love food just about any kind... I do hate mint though. Probably the only thing I don't like and I am not a huge fish fan I like some but nothing that tastes real fishy. I do like crab and shrimp.
21. My parents are 2 of the greatest people in the world they are truly amazing people and I am lucky to have someone so close to me I want to be just like. My Mom is one of my very best friends, and my Dad too.
22. I have been pregnant or nursing for a total of over 7 years, Pregnant for almost 3 1/2 and nursing for almost 4 years, and we have only been married for almost 8 so in the last 8 years I have pretty much been either prego or nursing. I think that is right that seems like a long time:)
23. I Love exercise... running, playing sports etc. I love learning about exercise science and nutrition and reading books about them. I would love to finish my 4 year degree (I have my associates) and do it in either exercise science and nutrition or nursing and become a Labor and Delivery Nurse. That experience is one in a life time and a good or bad nurse plays a big role in bringing your child into the world. I would just love to be part of others experience because I have loved mine.
24. I want to go on lots of missions with Joe and travel with him. I really want to go to Hawaii, on a cruise, to New York, and to Eourpe to name a few. I have not done a lot of traveling in my life, remember I grew up on a farm. I did love our trip to Mexico, lots of fun that was a big first for me!!
25. I went to New York with Joes sisters, sister-in-laws and Mom and had the time of my life that was one of my very most favorite trips, I did a lot of firsts for me on that trip. We were able to attend 2 Broadways, Wicked, and Les Miserables, we saw ground where the World Trade Center used to stand and rode a subway (like you see in the movies) we shopped on canal street and all up and down Broadway, ate at Bubba Gumps and the revloving restraunt, and toured central park and Rockefeller center. We stayed in an amazing Marriot hotel right on Broadway all thanks to Joe's sister Pam. Thanks to her we really had the time of our lives and I can't wait to take Joe there sometime.
26. I like to cook and try new things, and cook my favorites often.
27. I love my life, I am so so grateful for so many things sometimes I am overwhelmed at how much I have been blessed with in my life I really couldn't ask for more. I really have a lot of grattitude for everything. My cup runneth over!!
28. My favorite story in the Book of Mormon is Helaman and the 2,000 stripling warriors. I love those boys Moms and I want to raise children like they raised theirs. Strippling Warriors in the last days.
29. I love the Mormon Pioneers their stories are so amazing and powerful, so much can be learned from their sturggles and I love it when my parents tell me their stories. They were amazing. Our next little girls middle name is after one of these brave women who came across the plains with her 3 small children, a very touching story.
30. I always wanted 10 children from the time I was little. We'll see how far we make it. It is easy to say when you have never had one:) I am taking them one at a time now. If I knew I didn't have to be pregnant that many times and could be sane and a good mom and provide for all for them, I would have 15.
31. I have never dyed my hair my whole life and I have only had it professionally cut once (thanks to Pam, Pam helped me out with a lot of firsts in my life my first pedicure was with her too) I plan to cut it very short after this baby and donate it to cancer. (give me a few months though I want to get skinny first:)
32. Kambree is one of the strongest people I know. She is an endurerer and she NEVER complains or gives up. She is an amazing example to me and her spirit has strength I have never seen before first hand. She could have been a pioneer and she already is a modern day stripling warrior. She is stronger than I am and I consider myself a pretty strong person. Her 5 years of life have taught me so much about what is most important and she daily reminds me to treasure the little things every single one is a precious gift. I feel so blessed to be her mom.
33. I had a brother die when I was only 3 in a farming accident. I miss him and can't wait to be reunited with him and to have my children and Joe meet him. I know he is still here with us at times, I have felt his presence, and I am sure he is so excited for the day, like we are, when we will all be together again. I think the trial of loosing a child would be one of the hardest one's to bear yet my parents bore it so well, they always kept a gospel perspective and used Jeff as an example to never give up and to work even that much harder so our family can be together forever.
34. Even though I was only 3 I remember the day he died, what a hard day for my Mom. I am so greatful that death is not the end. The next time one of my brothers had to get on a tractor she just cried I can only imagine how painful that would have been. I think of her strength often.
35. I have 5 brothers and 1 sisters and I love my siblings so so much. Joe has 3 brothers and 3 sisters and I love them so much as well. I have some great friendships with all of them I really make it a point to visit and be around family I believe those are the strongest most important relationships in this life and I want my kids to know how much I cherish and love family, when they are older I want them to come home and visit me too.
36. I love playing with my kids, sometimes this is not always easy for me because there is always something to be done and I don't like to play until the work is done (thats the farmer coming out in me) nothing is always ever done so I have to work hard on putting the work aside just to play with my kids. But I love my moments of just playing with them, they will not be kids forever. I love playing Kyle in teather ball he loves it and I love how much he loves it, I love playing house with my girls, and Kyle, although it is funny to see the kind of mother they preceive you as because they act just like me when they get to be the mom, I am suprised sometimes at the mom I am seeing myself the way they see me, it is fun to switch the roles for a moment. They all love games and I love playing those will all of them. I love being outside with my kids one of my favorite things to do.

40. I love Modbe clothing. I love wearing it more than I love selling it but I love offering it to others because I love it so much and I love getting a discount by selling.
41. I was the top sales person in my region during swim season last year. I don't think I will ever do that again but it was fun. I am a mom 1st and foremost.
42. I love shopping but I am a very frugral person. I am always looking for a deal.
43. I have some very great friends in my life and I am so greatful for true good friends.
44. I hate gossip and catty things I don't think it gets a person anywhere and only makes you feel worse. No one is better or worse than anyone else no matter what they have done. I can't say I have never gossiped but I do try hard not to. Also one thing I remember growing up is that my Mom never talked bad about anyone atleast I can not remember her doing that and that has stuck with me.
45. I always want my home to be a safe place for my children to come to, a place where they always feel loved and accepted, peace, a refuge from the storm. I remember going to a sealing in the Temple once and the sealer talked about how our homes are the only other place that can feel or be like the Temple, I remember wanting that in my home so bad. Have you ever been to my house we are not quite there but I am working on it this is one of my big goals. My home was like that growing up.
46.I love decorating!!! I never knew I would like it so much but I love it. I love doing cute things to my house, especially when I can do it for cheap but make it look nice.
47. I really like things to be clean. It is hard for me to have peace in my home when it is messy. I know that is a huge personal preferance.
48. Our family motto is Born to Win, I tell my kids they were born to win (to be kings and queens because of their heavenly potential we have a really great story that goes along with this saying) each night after I tuck them in I tell them they are Born to Win I want them to know they came to succeed and when they fail they pick themselves up and try again. I tell them, I love them the mostest. I also tell them this little phrase "out of all the little boys and girls in the whole wide world I am the luckiest to have Kyle, Kambree, Kayelee, and Kapri." They say it back to me and then I say Ditto.

52. My kids teach me so so much. Sometimes I think they are the better teachers.
53. I have been pulled over for drunk driving (I was not drunk I have never drunk a drop of alcohol in my life) I was laughing so hard when he pulled me over and asked if I had been drinking that he almost made me walk the line. I was trying to go over a train track with the saftey gaurds down so he saw me swereving and thought I was drunk. I realize dodging the train was not the best of ideas either but atleast I wasn't drunk:) I was in highschool just so you know this wasn't recent.
54. I have only gotten one speeding ticket in my life. We won't ask Joe how many he's gotten.
55. When I was growing up I used to love riding with my dad in the pickup while he did all his farm duties. He would take me to the store and let me pick out a treat, that was so fun. He also used to sing songs that were from the radio and change the words so they talked about me, I loved that. He also made me drive the pick up while he fed cows, I don't know exactly what age I was but I know I was younger than 5 because I was not in school yet. The pick up was a stick shift so he would put it in gear and have me drive while he was pulling hay out of the back feeding the cows. I hated doing this I couldn't even reach the pedals and the cows would flock around the pick up because there was food. I told my dad I am going to hit one of those cows, he assured me I would not that they would move when they saw the pick up coming. Well... sure enough I hit one, luckily I was going so slow it didn't hurt the darn thing. Oh but I hated doing that.
56. Some of the greatest wisdom my Mom gave to me... I was in Highschool and I was not choosing the exact right path and we were such good friends I just wanted her to understand and I remember her telling me that she loved me so much that at this moment she couldn't be my friend she had to be my mom. I know that was so hard for me at the time because we were such great friends, but I was so grateful for her wisdom I look back now and realize why she had to do that. I find myself wanting to be such great friends with my kids and that is so so important to me but I do have to remind myself I was chosen to be their parents and I have to take role to teach them what is right even if for the moment I will not be their friend and they won't think I'm cool. They will be grateful down the road that at that moment I chose to be their mom not their friend, because ultimatly that was choosing to be their friend.
57. I was Joe's first kiss I think that is so so awesome, I feel like a pretty special lady. I've given him plenty of experience now:)
58. He calls me princess all the time as a nickname and I love it, he truly treats me like a princess that is what makes it so special.

63. When I false started in the 800m run I went home and my dad had a huge bouquet (sp?) of flowers waiting for me when I got home, I know he was so sad for me and I thought he would be disappointed but all he did was show me I was special, I will never forget that.
64. I Love American Idol. If I had any singing talent at all I would try out for it. Last Season with the two Davids was the first season we watched and we loved it.
65. I scored 26 points in a basketball game at state my senior year. My mom played basketball in highschool as well and her record was 25, she had always told me if I beat her record she would do something special for me. I was getting ready to go to BYU so she bought me a nice BYU sweathirt, I love that sweatshirt, I still have it and wear it often.
66. My Dad used to say all these funny sayings to us... it's curtains for you, I'm gonna cut your water off, I feel like five pieces of cat pucky, come in if your nose is clean, to name a few now I find myself saying them to my kids somethimes I love it:)
67. When all 4 of our girls are on their girl moment of the month Joe, Kyle and I are going camping, the boys will not leave me home with those crazy hormones.
68. I hope atleast one of my girls plays sports.

71. I love watching my kids succeed, or learn from a mistake, or learn something for the first time that is such a great moment.
72. I want to cherish these moments of my kids being little because I know they are just going to be memories someday. Yesterday I was at Costco and a man said your girls are really cute. I said thanks and then thought to myself they will not be little forever I just gotta love it while I can.

74. I would love to run a full Marathon someday, go to a foreign country to do service, finish my college education, continue to serve in my church, learn how to play the piano better, read a lot more books, those are just a few of the goals I would like to accomplish in this life there are lots of others.
75. I love a finished project.
76. I am an impatient person and my children are teaching me paitence, I don't like to move on to something else or do anything else for that matter until the job/project is done.
77. I am not a creative person.
78. I hate math and am very bad at it but I do have to say I got a B+ in Calculus in highscool because I worked my rear off and I had a great teacher. Needless to say I have never taken Calculus again.
79. The only C I ever got on a report card was at BYU in American Heritage, it was a dang hard class and I worked hard in it for that C I was happy to pass and, but I never got a C again.
80. I met Joe at BYU in a Marriage Family Human Development class, he was not excited to be taking that class, I think he has changed his mind now.
82. I love the name Paisley, Paislee for a girl (I'm not sure how I would spell it), Joe isn't so much a fan, I am working on him:) We are kind of out of girls names we have a couple other ones we like but we are getting to the bottom of the barrel it is hard naming the 4th girl in a row and I want her to LOVE her name so I think a lot about it.
83. Kambree loves to swim one of her favorite things is the water, this last summer I was brave and bought a pass to our public pool we went swimming atleast twice a week. By the end of the summer Kyle became a fish and Kambree truly learned how to swim, (this was an amazing moment for her and I) we were so excited for her, Kayelee and Kapri loved it as well. It was so fun to do this with my kids, and my kids loved it so much and ask when it will be warm so we can swim again.
84. I HATE fevers!!! That is when Kambree has her seizures and I hate seizures!!! Illness of any kind in kids is not fun but I can handle it, but I HATE the fevers.
85. I have always wished I was taller, I will admit I have gotten a lot of good things out of this short body but it would be nice to have a few more inches.
86. I am a worrier. I worry way too much about things Joe thinks I will die young because of how much I worry, He tells me to let him do the worring but he doesn't worry so it is no help. I probably will die young because of it, I am working on it.

89. I used to call flip flops thongs, oh my how times have changed.
90. I hate the van I drive from it's appearence, the paint is peeling and it has 3 dents in it but I am too cheap to get a new one and it runs great so I love it:) We are not big spenders needless to say our cars suffer.
91. I love living in Boise it is a great area, there is lots to offer here and it is in a great location. I could stay here forever, but who knows if we will, the only other place I would love to be more is right next to my parents, but they move around a lot going on all these missions and such but I wouldn't mind living right next to them if we could someday.

Whats right it right and whats wrong is wrong there is not much grey for me. I believe strongly is certain things and I stand by those beliefs. Other than that though I am pretty easy going, if there is a other than that.
95. I love feeling my babies move when they are inside of me, such a special feeling, they have a spirt already as their body is being formed. Being pregnant turly is an amazing experience, hard yes but amazing as well. You get to know that little person a little bit before they even come into this world. 100. Wow that was a really long list!!!! amazing if you made it to the end sorry if you are so so bored but I will admit that was really fun doing it brought back a lot of memories and made me THINK. I would love to hear any of your 100 lists.
And to keep the 25 random things tag still going I tag Tamra, Jessica, Bobbi, Alana, and Valerie and if you want to do the 100 list do it, it's a lot of fun and really makes you think, it is a great journal addition too.
Here are the exact rules for the 25 random things...
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 5 people to be tagged, and list them at the bottom. You also have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

WOW!!!! Girl that's impressive! And yes- I made it all the way through the whole list! I pretty much knew most of that stuff, but it was still soooo much fun to read! You are such an AWESOME person, and the bestest friend ever! I laughed so hard reading your "drunk driving" story! I know you've told me about that before, but it still just cracks me up! Well I know I could have never come up with 100 things- 25 was even a struggle for me!!! How long did that take you?
I LOVE it Deb! I love that I knew almost everything on this list...didn't know about your false start with the 800m race - how sad but that is so sweet that your dad got you flowers :) Anyway, you are so awesome - an AMAZING wife and mom and sister and daughter and friend and when I grow up I want to be more like you :) Love you!!!!
Oh...!! How long did it take you to make that??!! I was worried about coming up with 25...but 100...PANICK!!! Well, I will give it an honest effort, because yours was so great to read!! Thanks for that!!
Deb-
I had a fun time reading through your list! I think I might remember that drunk driving story- wasn't that on the way back from going to the Spokane temple open house?
You're just as amazing as ever! I'm not that great at keeping in touch...but we would love to see you anytime you're in WA...or maybe we'll have to stop in and see you one of the next times we are heading through...or maybe we should just plan a trip to come visit on a weekend!
I was laughing when I read about the "burning daylight" comment my Dad said the same thing and it DROVE ME NUTS!!! Also I was pretty sure we were the only ones that had to do the dreadful picking up rocks, I am glad we were not the only crazy ones:) I enjoyed your list, you are a great person!
That was so fun to read, Deb (and I made it through the entire thing!) But I don't understand why you don't think you're creative. You're SO creative! At least all the things you make all the time say you are!
And I'm a total worrier, too. I think it just comes with being a mom. But I hope it doesn't lead to any of our early deaths!
You need to come visit us so you can go to the beach! We'd love to have you anytime if you want to come (I know it's a long way to come) and we'll take you to the beach to your heart's content!
I loved reading this and getting to know you better. You are such a stong person that I admire very much. You are such a wonderful mom too. I've always thought the world of Joe and think you two make an amazing couple!
I loved reading your list! It took two naptimes for me to finish, but it was worth it! You are amazing and I really like the name Paislee, very unique and sweet. Anyways, Joe's blue hair made me laugh. I hope you do have ten kids because you two are great parents!
Whew, that took me several days to read, but I loved it all! You are such an amazing mom, Deborah! I don't know how you do it all and stay so happy! We have a lot in common I found out! I too was pulled over for drunk driving, but wasn't drunk and almost had to walk the line also. I was laughing at the officer! I was David's first kiss, I will have to do that list sometime!
Okay...I already commented, but, I was reading through them, and I missed one that I didn't know...You want to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse...!! I have wanted to do that FOREVER...you are so right too...it is the nurse that makes it good or bad...and I want to be..."that nurse!!" I remember when I had an emergency C-section with Parker, my nurse was off shift...but she decided to stay late just to be with me through it all. I will never forget her, and the support she brought to me. She saved me!!! Anyways...love that goal!
What a great post! I loved reading and getting to know even more about you Deb! :) You are so fun and such a great mom! You have 4 (almost 5) lucky kids! :)
